On a daily basis, you will:
- Monitor any new application or data requests/issues, take ownership of cases, act promptly to resolve, and monitor until closed
- Monitor system stability and performance
- Manage user’s on-boarding, off-boarding, entitlement/access changes in Data Engineering applications
- Learn and use support tools/systems to solve user requests and continuously work on improving our systems to innovate and automate for increased efficiency
- Continuously improve documentation of routine processes and add new articles based on new knowledge
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and end users to solve issues, respond to user requests, prevent issues, and make system improvements
- Coordinate with other technology and business teams on production issues and high-impact changes
- Proactively communicate potential problems, jump on issues, engage relevant parties, and follow through with root cause analysis
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as a Production Support Engineer
- 3+ years of experience with SQL
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter mentality
- An interest and passion for understanding financial markets and instruments
- Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented data analytical skills and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Responsible, able to multitask, and client-oriented
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Understanding of data pipelines in the cloud, preferably AWS
