Our client operates sports betting in 18 U.S. jurisdictions and has partnerships with the biggest leagues and media companies in the U.S. Marking a major milestone in American sports history, they opened the first-ever sports betting venue within a professional United States sports facility. Partnerships like this are positioning our business to skyrocket as sports betting continues to expand across the country and our customers get a taste of the action.
On the technology side, they’ve built an entire sports betting and iGaming platform from the ground up in less than 3 years. Through continuous improvement and data-informed product development, they are adding features so that our customers have the best product experience in the market. The Product Technology team gives the team the freedom to deliver without constantly seeking permission to take action.
Main tasks:
- Build robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation for both front-end and API solutions
- Develop, execute, and maintain test automation frameworks for different test environments
- Ensure QA is fully part of the CI/CD pipeline and promote the benefits of Test-Driven Development
- Development and automation first
- Player / Coach other junior members of the QA engineering team in terms of craft and behaviors
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with applications and domains
- Participate in design and architecture discussions, escalate issues where needed
- Communicate effectively with external and internal teams
- Review and debug code
- Create pipelines for continuous integration
- Perform different types of testing, such as Smoke testing, functional testing, and regression testing
- Perform testing for mobile devices (Android and iOS apps)
- Sign off on new features and functionality
- Enjoy exploratory testing
Requirements:
- 6-10 years of experience as SDET or Automation Engineer
- The majority of our QA frameworks use Java /or Python so ability to code in or pick up these languages is a must.
- API Automation and UI Automation (mobile or web) experience with good organizational and automation practices being used.
- Strong hands-on experience testing native devices such as Android, iOS preferred
- Exposure to a modern UI framework like Selenide, Pytest, Playwright or Cucumber is preferred
- Familiar with the page object pattern
- API/RESTful service testing experience
- Experience with Jira or other PMT for issue & task Management
- Familiar with CI/CD processes in Gitlab or similar tooling.
- Ability to decompose a feature to identify the critical automation components.
- Experience thinking about risk, creating test strategies, and validating the quality of testing plans & procedures
