The role:
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining critical backend services and cloud-native applications that enable efficient management and tracking of carbon removal activities. Your work will involve collaborating across teams to design scalable solutions using modern technologies, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This role offers a chance to contribute to the entire development lifecycle — from data architecture to deployment workflows — with real impact on operational technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using C# / .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC, or minimal APIs).
- Strong proficiency with Entity Framework Core and PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Functions, App Service, IoT Hub, Event Hub, Service Bus, Key Vault, and Cosmos DB.
- Proven ability to design and develop REST APIs and backend data services.
- Experience integrating with front-end frameworks (e.g., Svelte, React, Angular) and designing APIs for UI consumption.
- Familiarity with integrating .NET systems with ERP platforms (especially Dynamics 365 Business Central) using APIs and Azure services.
- Good understanding of DevOps practices — CI/CD automation, containerization, version control, and infrastructure as code.
- (Nice to have) Experience with industrial IoT, telemetry systems, and message brokers (e.g., MQTT, AMQP).
Responsibilities
- Develop industrial IoT, Azure, and business applications that support managing and tracking carbon removal workflows across the supply chain.
- Lead data flow architecture between internal systems and multiple CO₂ source and storage sites.
- Design and implement scalable, cloud-native applications using modern software patterns and technologies.
- Maintain and manage the company’s Azure DevOps environment, including structured project deployments and build pipelines.
- Ensure high-quality development practices, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
