Our client is an international leader in public cloud and edge computing, content delivery, hosting, and security solutions. They manage a global infrastructure designed to provide enterprise-level businesses with first-class edge and cloud-based services.
Currently, due to the extension of their Streaming Team, they’re looking for an experienced Ruby Engineer to help them in the development of the high-load cloud video streaming service. The tech heart is backend with dozens of microservices, including orchestrator, HTTP Low Latency, WebRTC, CDN, transcoding, protection, analytics, and many other technologically advanced things.
What you’ll do:
- Launch and relaunch modules for mid-load modules of live streaming, video hosting, orchestration modules, task setting and tracking, computer vision intergration, etc
- Relaunch of the Streaming Platform API
- Gathering requirements, designing a redundant video processing and delivery system
- Development of Ruby programming standards within the company
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of Ruby development experience, Ruby/Rails
- Experience in developing high-load projects, clustering systems
- Experience with SQL/noSQL databases
- Experience with Docker, k8s, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Puppet
- Ability to navigate in someone else’s code, code-review experience
- Double plus is knowledge of GO language
- Triple plus is knowledge of ffmpeg
